PEÑARANDA He is currently the Commercial Counselor at the Philippine Trade & Investment Center (PTIC) of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Beijing. He represents the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) and leads the promotion of Philippine exports to and foreign investments from China. He also acts as China Team Leader working with PTIC-Shanghai and PTIC-Guangzhou. His previous postings were in Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Chicago and Singapore. He was the Coordinating Officer of the DTI-Foreign Trade Service Corps in September 2011 – May 2012 and in March 2004 – June 2005, coordinating the export and investment promotion activities of 31 PTICs in 23 countries. The PTIC is the frontline of the DTI-FTSC in major export markets and investment source countries.
